Colorado's Senate Seat in 2020

Mar 5, 2020 | 2 minutes to read

I’ve lived in Colorado for 12 years and I call it home now. Like many of my neighbors, I was raised elsewhere (in California in my case) but I prefer Colorado. In November 2020, we will have a chance to replace one of our current US Senators, Cory Gardner. Since his election to the Senate in 2014, he has shown that coprorate donations and party loyalty are more important to him, than representing the majority of Coloradans.

For the record, I’ve been registered to vote as ‘Unaffiliated’ since I moved here in 2008. I have no party loyalty and only ever vote on the issues I care about.

As the incumbent, Gardner is running on the Republican ticket without opposition. So we need to look at other parties to find a replacement.

For myself and other Coloradans looking to understand his competition better, here is a set of links I’ve found on the Democrats and other party candidates:

I couldn’t find info on other candidates as I researched this post, but here is the CO Secretary of State’s page on all registered political parties:

And if you’re not yet registered to vote - go do that now!

Leave me a comment if you know of other people who can be added to this list.
