I don’t delve into policitcs very often, but after watching what happened in Washington DC on January 6, we have a lot of things we need to fix about US society, obviously, but here are a few top priorities:
How can people with real, specific grievencies air them in a productive way, without invading the US Capitol building?
How can we change the way social media is used to sway people into such fits of violence that they think storming past guards and police in our nation’s capitol is a good way to see the change they want?
And then, how can we ensure every American is better educated so they know better than to let this kind of thing happen again?
To me, these are they key take-aways. The protests in the streets were fine. They crossed the line when they decided to go inside the capitol building. I hope this all settles down in a couple of weeks but I fear things will just get worse, if the points above are not addressed.
